Universal Head Up Display

Main drawback of a mouthpiece mounted head up display (find it here) is that it is not in a mechanically fixed position in respect to the eye.  Even if carefully aligned and adjusted with the line of sight, water drag and mouthpiece movements quickly bring the display out of sight. As alternative a Head up Display was developed, that can be glued directly onto the visor of a diving mask.

The universal HUD is basically a secondary display for a primary, wrist worn handset. All data displayed on the handset are also available on the HUD screen.

Main features of the handset are:

  • 128x64 pixel LCD screen
  • Open circuit, closed circuit and semi closed circuit support
  • Modular design
  • TRIMIX deco algorithm
  • Double o-ring sealed connectors rated for 30 bar
  • Digital pO2 sensor readout

The handset as well as the HUD are commercially available at Divesystem, Italy.
